LLC: Welsh guidelines in English-medium education

These guidelines are specifically for practitioners in English-medium education who are involved in organising, planning, assessing and revising Welsh in their school's curriculum. The aim of these guidelines is to help develop their understanding of what is being learned and taught, as well as their understanding of progress.

Among the guidelines there are considerations for provision and experiences.

There are also Welsh experiences, knowledge, skills and approaches in English medium education under the headings of the four mandatory statements of what matters in this Area. These are not exhaustive lists but a starting point when organising, planning and revising the Welsh language within a school's curriculum or setting.

Schools can use the principles of progression and the learning descriptions to develop learning over time and to ensure progress in the Welsh language at a challenging pace.

Effective Planning

Through purposeful planning, we can develop learners into confident users of the Welsh language and inspire them to use the Welsh language in all aspects of life, developing their cultural awareness and their Welsh identity. cynllunio-effeithiol-effective-planning
