Teaching Welsh within English medium schools

In this website you will be able to get an overview of a collection of information and resources that will assist you to start the work of fostering your learners' skills, enjoyment and enthusiasm towards the Welsh language in accordance with the Welsh Government's requirements. The website has been created specifically by experts in the field of supporting language learning within the regions and Local Authorities and by pedagogic experts from higher education institutions who provide the Welsh Sabbatical Scheme, to assist practitioners in the English-medium sector.

It doesn't matter how much Welsh you have - you will be able to find ideas, resources, games and development tools to help you inspire your learners and integrate Welsh into your learning environments in meaningful and consistent ways. The pathway covers the journey from 3 to 16 years old with some specific examples for the secondary sector, but also suitable for the primary sector.

In order to operate fully effectively as practitioners, Dysgu Cymraeg's provision for teachers, which includes the National Sabbatical Scheme offers an opportunity to develop these skills further.
